FREQUENT QUESTIONS

MORRIS - SOCKLE
ATTORNEYS HELPING INJURED PEOPLE

How long will my claim take?
Your body's healing time will control the timetable of your claim. The case should not be settled until you reach maximum recovery.

How much will my claim be worth?
Your case value will be based on the duration of your pain, activity restrictions and the degree of your permanent injury. An accurate valuation will not be possible until those factors have been determined.

Do I need an attorney?
Not everyone will need an attorney. However, most people should consult a personal injury attorney to determine their legal rights and responsibilities.

How much will an attorney cost?
At Morris - Sockle there is no charge for an initial consultation. We will charge a percentage of the settlement received from the insurance company. The fees will be collected only when the claim is settled or a verdict or award is received.

Will a lawsuit be necessary to obtain compensation?
Most cases settle before a lawsuit is necessary. Whether a lawsuit is needed will depend on several factors specific to each claim. At Morris - Sockle, legal counsel and the injured party will decide together whether a lawsuit is necessary and appropriate.
