WHO IS AT FAULT
The Law holds all licensed health care professionals and the staff
of licensed medical facilities accountable for their negligent acts.
A claims can be made for negligent care provided by a Doctor of
Medicine, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Podiatry, Optometry,
Naturopathy, or Dentistry. Claims can be made against a Nurse, Physical
Therapist, the staff of hospitals or nursing homes, or the manufacturer
of a medical product. All of these licensed professional are responsible
for the care they provide to the trusting public. If the injury
is caused by more than one provider, the claim can be brought jointly
against several providers.
