GENERAL CARELESSNESS
We all hope that our doctors and other health care providers will
be careful and conscientious, but not all of them are. Even good
doctors can act carelessly on a given day. All health care providers
have a great responsibility to act with care with every patient,
in every procedure. If they are in a hurry, or distracted they are
still liable for the injuries caused by their carelessness. Most
medical malpractice claims are based on specific acts of negligence,
but some arise out of plain carelessness by a health care provider
trusted to provide conscientious care.
